The Rundown

In this guide, you will learn how to run a full SEO audit on any website using AI and turn the results into a slide deck and a prioritized task list. We tested this in Manus, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and NotebookLM.

Who This Is Useful For

  • Small business owners and freelancers who know their website has SEO problems but don't want to pay $100+/month for Ahrefs or SEMrush to find them
  • Marketing managers and consultants who need to present SEO findings to a client or stakeholder and want a slide deck and workbook they can hand off
  • Anyone managing a website who wants a quick way to find and prioritize the highest-impact SEO fixes without learning a bunch of dedicated SEO tools

What You Will Build

Three documents from one audit: a full PDF report covering technical SEO, on-page optimization, content quality, and backlinks. A client-ready slide deck. And a prioritized Excel workbook with every issue, how to fix it, and which page it affects.

What You Need to Get Started

  • An account on at least one of: Manus, Claude, ChatGPT, or NotebookLM
  • A website URL to audit (yours, a client's, or a competitor's)

Step 1: Run the Audit

Open whichever AI tool you have access to. Paste in this prompt with your website URL:

*Perform a comprehensive SEO audit of [your website URL]. Analyze technical SEO, on-page optimization, content quality, and backlink profile. Give me the top 10 highest-impact fixes ranked by effort vs. results. Cite your data sources for each section. Export the full audit as a PDF report with sections for each category.*

Make sure you enable web browsing (like Claude in Chrome) so your LLM can look up data like keywords and domain ratings.

Pro tip: After the audit finishes, ask the tool: "List every tool, connection, and data source you used to complete this audit." This is how you catch hallucinations and learn what tools you might need to install to improve the report.

Step 2: Turn It into a Slide Deck

Review the PDF report. Then prompt:

*Turn this audit into a slide deck I can present to a client or stakeholder. Keep it under 10 slides. Include an executive summary, top issues by category, and a recommended action plan with priorities.*

If you're using Claude/ChatGPT, make sure you have the PowerPoint skill installed. In NotebookLM, you can just click the slide deck option when it's done.

Step 3: Build the SEO Workbook

The deck is for presenting. This spreadsheet is for doing the work.

*Create an SEO workbook as a CSV with every issue from the audit. Columns: Issue, Category, Priority (High / Medium / Low), How to Fix, Affected Page URL. Sort by priority.*

Open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets. You will have a working task list with every issue, how to fix it, which page it affects, and how urgent it is.

You can import this into any project management tool, hand it to a developer, or just work through it yourself.

Step 4: Create a Skill

Once you're done, tell whatever tool you're in to create a skill or custom GPT based on the process you just ran.

That way, next time you just drop in a website URL and it runs the full audit, slide deck, and workbook flow automatically.

Going Further

Break out the workbook into tabs. Tell the AI to create separate CSVs for each section of the report: an Overview and Scores tab, Technical SEO Tasks, On-Page Optimization, Content Refresh, and Backlink Opportunities. This gives you a full workbook you can work through tab by tab and check off as you go.

Save the process as a reusable skill. Once you're done, tell whatever tool you're in to create a skill or custom GPT based on the process you just ran. That way, next time you just drop in a website URL and it runs the full audit, slide deck, and workbook flow automatically.

If you have dedicated SEO tools, connect them. If you pay for something like SE Ranking or Ahrefs, you can connect them to a lot of these AI tools and just let them run reports for you. The AI adds the analysis and presentation layer on top.
