This guide shows you how to use Gumloop to quickly analyze Facebook ad creatives with AI. You’ll build a flow that scrapes static ads from a Facebook Ad Library profile, sends the creative image to AI, and writes the resulting reverse-engineered creative prompt into a Google Sheet.
The workflow is designed for fast content and ad creative analysis, helping you analyze and ideate on creative ideas in minutes.
You’ll build a reusable Gumloop flow that analyzes a Facebook Ad Library account and reverse engineers a prompt to recreate each static ad creative.
You can use Gumloop’s agent to build the flow for you, or build it manually and ask the agent for help while you’re in a flow.
Gumloop is generous with free credits, and the source notes you can build this whole flow on a free account.
In Gumloop, create a new flow and enter this prompt:
Make a flow that takes a url to Facebook ad library account and scrapes all of its static (not video) ads and puts all of the data in a new row in a google sheet. It sends the static creative image to AI with a prompt telling it to reverse engineer a prompt you could put into an image generator to get the creative generated
Pro tip: You can use Gumloop’s agent to build this out for you, or you can build it manually by starting with trigger or integration options. You can also ask the agent for help while you’re in a flow.
Create a new Google Sheet that matches the structure shown below.
If you have access to the duplicate sheet template from the original guide, you can use that instead of creating the sheet manually.
Pro tip: The Gumloop agent should tell you exactly what headers to put in your sheet. Even if you use a template, once you link it in the next step, the agent will adjust to your column headers.
After the Google Sheets module is added, click “Authenticate Credentials” and connect your Google account. You won’t need to add more credentials after this step.
Once your account is connected, paste the link to your Google Sheet into the module and click continue in the agent sidebar.
Make sure your flow matches the setup shown. Don’t worry if you’re missing the extra two inputs; they’re only needed if you’re running this on a schedule and want to record when it was run.
Click the big pink “Run” button to test the flow.
Next, set up a weekly automation that looks at a list of your competitors and pulls ads for each of them.
Manually create a new flow that triggers the scraping. It should look like this:
