Build a Voice-Activated Air Traffic Control Simulator for Doha Runway 34R
I built a voice-activated air traffic control simulator featuring one of the approaches for Hamad International Airport’s Runway 34R in Doha, Qatar. I downloaded the waypoints for one of the STARs for Runway 34R. The aircraft can climb, descend, fly assigned headings, or go directly to waypoints. Once an aircraft is established on final, it automatically contacts the tower at a certain point. The simulator is voice-activated by transmitting through the F5 microphone button on a Mac. Step-by-step: 1. I selected one of the approaches for Runway 34R at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar. 2. I downloaded the waypoints for one of the STARs serving Runway 34R. 3. I configured the aircraft to climb, descend, fly headings, and go directly to waypoints. 4. I set the aircraft to automatically contact the tower at a certain point after becoming established on final. 5. I enabled voice activation by transmitting through the F5 microphone button on a Mac.
