Learn how to use Claude Cowork to replace expensive video clipping tools. You will use the included prompt files with a video and timestamped transcript to generate your first clips in under 5 minutes.
You will build a Claude Cowork video clipping workflow that reviews longform video, creates a clip-review.md file of clip ideas, and generates selected clips into a /clips subfolder.
Create a folder for the clipping project and add the required files.
Open the Claude app on your computer and select the Cowork tab.
Click the folder icon and select the folder you created.
Ask Claude to read the main SOP, scaffold the directory, and find clip ideas.
Read the main SOP and scaffold our directory as described. Then find me 10 scroll-stopping clip ideas to review.Claude will create a clip-review.md file where you can review each clip idea.
Tell Claude which clips you want generated.
Generate clip 1, 4 and 6.The generated clips should appear in the /clips subfolder.
Try follow-up commands to combine, crop, cut, or mute clips.
Combine clips 4 and 5.Crop clip 1 into a vertical video.Cut 00:08:00:15 from clip 3.Mute clip 5.If generating transcripts with online tools is time-consuming or inaccurate, you can create transcriptions locally using Claude Code.
