Build Better Slide Decks with AI (works with Any Tool)

beginner

The Rundown

This guide teaches you how to turn raw, unstructured content into a presentation-ready slide deck using Claude and Gamma. You will start with material like a spreadsheet, meeting transcript, long document, or bullet-point outline, then use Claude to shape it into a deck structure and Gamma to design the slides.

The workflow is designed to save time on repeat deck-building tasks, such as monthly performance reports that would otherwise take hours to rebuild manually.

Who This Is Useful For

  • Marketing managers who run recurring performance reports and need to update the same deck with new numbers
  • Agency owners who need to turn a scope of work into a client kickoff deck
  • Ops leads who need to summarize a planning meeting for executives

What You Will Build

You will build a complete, designed slide deck generated from raw content you already have. The finished product comes out of Gamma with your structure, data, and narrative already in place, so you are not starting from a blank slide or manually dragging text boxes around.

  • A Claude-generated markdown deck outline
  • A Gamma-generated designed slide deck
  • A polished deck that can be presented, exported as PowerPoint, or exported as PDF

What You Need

  • Claude, free or Pro, at claude.ai
  • A Gamma account, with the free tier available, at gamma.app
  • Raw content such as a CSV export, meeting notes, a document, a transcript, or a rough outline

Going Further

  • After you run the workflow once, save the Claude-generated outline as a template. For recurring reports, such as weekly marketing updates, monthly board decks, or client recaps, you can give Claude the same outline and ask it to fill it in with new data and content.
  • When the deck is ready, you can present directly from Gamma or export it as a PowerPoint or PDF when your audience needs a file.
  • You can also connect this workflow with other tools, such as using Zapier to auto-export analytics data on a schedule, send it into Claude via the API, and have a draft deck waiting for you every Monday morning.
Iterate on the markdown outline in Claude before moving into Gamma; it is faster than rearranging designed slides later.
