Financial Budget Tracker

I used QuickBooks for years with a personal subscription that cost $38 per month. I replaced it with a workflow Claude built in Python: each month, I upload my bank and credit card statements to a folder, and Claude parses the charges and adds them to a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet automatically assigns charges to categories, which I can change when needed. It separates each bank and credit card account while also providing a combined view. The spreadsheet is linked to a dashboard where I can review spending habits by category, time period, and bank or credit card account. I created the workflow by explaining the desired output in a prompt, and Claude built it for me. 1. I upload my bank and credit card statements to a folder each month. 2. Claude parses the charges and adds them to a spreadsheet. 3. The spreadsheet automatically assigns each charge to a category, which I can change when needed. 4. I review each bank and credit card account separately or use the combined view. 5. I use the linked dashboard to check spending by category, time period, and account.
