I needed a way to turn long, sometimes messy teacher–student conversations and oral feedback into concise, actionable checklists that students could easily refer to as they worked to improve. The process also needed to protect student privacy and data. 1. I identified the need to convert one-to-one conferencing conversations and oral feedback into a clear, usable format. 2. I focused on creating concise checklists students could refer to when making improvements. 3. I kept student privacy and data protection as requirements throughout the process.
