Build a Product Shoot App in Runway

Turn one vintage Polaroid photo into three product concepts, then save an app that repeats the shoot.

The three real Runway outputs side by side: Coral Studio, Palm Shadow, and Midnight Blue, with source attribution and concept-review caveats.
Questions people ask

Why build an app instead of using Product Reshoot?

Product Reshoot already accepts a product photo and scene directions. Use it for a one-off image. Build this app when you want repeatable presets, product checks, and the same controls each time.

Is the 700-credit requirement the price?

Runway describes it as the approximate balance needed to start a build session. It charges build work as it runs, and image generations add usage. Check your account before committing to the workflow. A plan's included credit balance may fall below the build requirement.

Can I use another product?

Yes. Use a photo you own or have permission to edit. Replace Keep these details with that product's shape, markings, materials, and viewpoint. Check every preset again; a successful camera result does not prove the app preserves a bottle label or shoe logo.

Does the photo license make this an official Polaroid campaign?

The photographer's license permits the photo's reuse under its terms. This practice project has no brand affiliation or endorsement. Keep that distinction and the image credit visible when showing the concepts. Review the rights and claims needed before adapting it for a real campaign.

Can I get a perfect cutout from the model?

Do not assume that a reference locks every pixel. Check small lettering and product edges. Use a manual cutout and composite when the exact product photograph must remain unchanged.

Can I share the app with a client?

Check the audience options in your current Publish panel and the recipient's access. Runway's product page advertises signed-in public links, while parts of its sharing help page still describe workspace-only access. This exercise uses Only you. Test a client's permitted access before promising a working link.
