This guide has resources.

The Rundown: Yutori Scouts is a powerful AI tool that acts as your personal web monitoring agent. Instead of constantly re-checking websites for updates, you simply tell a Scout what to look for using natural language, and it will notify you via email when it finds a match.

🧰 Who is this useful for:

  • Diners trying to find last-minute restaurant reservations.
  • Tech professionals wanting to stay updated on new AI model releases.
  • Parents looking for local events or summer camps for their kids.
  • Shoppers waiting for a specific item to come back in stock or go on sale.
  • Anyone who wants to automate the tedious task of checking websites for changes.

STEP 1: Create Your First Scout

Start on the Yutori homepage. You'll see a central input box that asks, "What do you want to stay updated about, and when should we notify you?"

This is where you'll give your AI agent its instructions. You can use one of the examples provided or write your own custom prompt. For this tutorial, we will use the example for monitoring AI news.

Scouts 1

Click on or type a prompt like:

`"New releases from OpenAI or Anthropic or Gemini or xAI"`

The tool will immediately begin processing your request to create a new Scout.

STEP 2: Configure Notification Settings

After processing your prompt, a confirmation window will appear titled "AI Company Releases."

The "WHAT" section confirms the task your Scout will perform. The "WHEN TO NOTIFY OF ANY UPDATES" section lets you choose the frequency of the alerts.

Scouts 2

You have several options:

  • Every day: Get a daily digest.
  • Every week on Monday at 8:30am: Get a weekly summary.
  • Whenever there are new releases...: Get an instant notification as soon as a change is detected.

Select the option that best suits your needs and click **Start scouting**. Your AI agent is now active and monitoring the web for you.

STEP 3: Manage Your Active Scouts

You can manage all your agents from the "My Scouts" page. This dashboard lists all the Scouts you've created, allowing you to see their status at a glance.

You can have multiple Scouts running simultaneously for different tasks, such as finding restaurant tables, tracking property listings, or monitoring blog updates.

Scouts 3

From this page, you can click on any Scout to view its history of reports. You can also edit, pause, or delete a Scout if your needs change. For example, if you find a restaurant reservation, you can pause or delete that specific Scout to stop receiving notifications.

STEP 4: Review Scout Reports

When your Scout finds information that matches your prompt, it will send a report to your email and also log it on the Scout's specific page within the app. These reports are designed to be clear and actionable.

For a restaurant Scout, it might list all available dates and times. For the summer camp Scout, it will provide details about the event, dates, and a link to the source.

Each report provides a summary of the findings and includes a direct link to the source website where the information was found. This allows you to quickly verify the information and take action, such as booking a table or registering for an event.

STEP 5: Inspect the Agent's Work

One of Yutori's most powerful features is the ability to see exactly how your Scout gathered its information.

By clicking **Inspect work** on any report, you can view a step-by-step visual recording of the AI agent's browsing session. You'll see it navigate websites, click on calendars, and extract the relevant data, giving you full transparency into the process.

This tool is incredibly flexible. You can even set up automations to parse the email notifications from your Scouts.

For example, you could automatically send new findings to a Slack channel for your team or use the data as a source to build your own custom application, like a specialized flight deal or real estate listing aggregator.

I hope you enjoyed this guide and looking forward to seeing what you build.
