Gamma: Create professional presentations in seconds

1. What Is Gamma?

Productivity AI tools help get more work done in less time. It's about efficiency, effectiveness, and being able to deliver results with minimal wasted effort or expense. Gamma definitely falls into this category. Gamma is an AI presentation tool that can generate visually appealing presentations, documents, and websites from text input, making it easier for users to create professional-looking content without needing design skills.

2. How to Access It?

To use Gamma AI, head over to the Gamma and click on the "Sign Up" button to register for free.

The free plan lets you already use almost all of its features, but if you plan to use it extensively or want more of it, you can upgrade to the Plus plan. Here are the different plans available:

Once you've signed up, you'll be directed to your Gamma dashboard.

 

3. How to Use It?

a) Getting Started

Click “Create New (AI)” to create a new presentation. You’ll be welcomed with three options:

  • Paste in text: Create from notes, an outline, or existing content
  • Generate: Create from a one-line prompt in a few seconds
  • Import a file: Transform or enhance existing docs and presentations

I’ll be selecting “Generate” for this tutorial.

 

b) Describe Your Presentation

You’ll be asked to provide details about the presentation you wish to create. This includes the topic, purpose, target audience, desired length, and any specific requirements or sections you want to include. Provide as many details as possible.

Click on “Generate Outline” and Gamma will create the outline for you. Edit the content of the cards/slides as needed. You can also remove or add slides.

Scroll down to adjust the amount of text and the style of AI-generated images for your presentation, and click “Continue”.


c) Select a Theme to Generate

Gamma will offer a selection of pre-designed templates to choose from. Browse through the options and select one that best fits your presentation's theme and style.

After providing the necessary details and selecting a theme, click on the “Generate” button.

Wait a few seconds for the full slide presentation to load.

 

d) Customize and Download

After the initial generation, Gamma will present you with the draft version of your slide presentation. Take some time to review each slide, checking for accuracy, and overall quality.

You can then use AI assistant to adjust the slide text or add more AI-generated cards.

On the right tool menu, check built-in editing tools to customize the slides further, adjusting the content, formatting, and design elements as needed.

When you're ready, click on the three-dots “…” and export your presentation in your desired format (e.g., PowerPoint, PDF) for sharing or presenting.
