The Rundown: This tutorial walks you through how to generate high-resolution, hyper-detailed miniature product photographs using the Nano Banana model by Gemini.

🧰 Who is this useful for:

  • E-commerce store owners building premium or niche collections
  • Designers needing product mockups with flair
  • Advertisers who want thumb-stopping visuals
  • Creators looking to add novelty to otherwise standard product photos

STEP 1: How to access Nano Banana

To start creating your miniature product images, head over to Gemini. You can also access Nano Banana through Freepik or Adobe Firefly.

Log into your Gemini app, locate the tools menu, then toggle on the "Create Image" feature.

STEP 2: Enter your prompt and describe the products you want to create

The goal is to prompt Gemini with ultra-specific details to generate a miniature luxury product held between fingers — perfect for e-commerce visuals.

Example prompt used:

“A high-resolution advertising photo of a [PRODUCT] held between thumb and index finger. Clean white background, soft shadows, studio lighting. Product is hyper-detailed, accurate, and small. Shallow depth of field. Emulates commercial minimalist luxury photography.”

As you can see in the prompt above, there are specific instructions related to lighting, style, level of detail.

The more specific you are, the better the results you'll get.

STEP 3: Send off your prompt and analyze your first result

I used a Hermès Birkin Bag as my first example. I found the result to be genuinely adorable and quite a scroll stopper.

Keep trying with different products. Next up was a Tank Louis Cartier Watch, and it absolutely nailed the look. Clean lines, soft background blur, perfect lighting.

Try mixing products up:

  • Jeep Rubicon
  • The CN Tower

STEP 4: Download your images and share to your ecommerce store or socials

Once satisfied, download the image directly. You can:

  • Upload it to your store
  • Use it in ad campaigns
  • Even erase the fingers for a standalone floating product (I personally like leaving the fingers in - gives a great sense of scale)

Pro Tip: Add a small disclaimer on your product page about the scale. Since the images look so realistic, customers might assume the item is actually that tiny.
