Resource

This guide has resources.

The Rundown: in this guide, I'll show you how to create your business identity, create on-brand marketing campaigns and creatives. The tool we'll be using is called Pomelli, and it's a collaboration between Google Labs and Google DeepMind. Pomelli is an incredibly powerful marketing tool that can help business save on their marketing budget, while producing high quality outputs.

Who is this useful for:

  • Small businesses without in-house marketing
  • Agencies producing campaigns for clients
  • Solo founders validating brand direction
  • Content teams needing quick on-brand assets

STEP 1: Getting started with Pomelli

Go to https://labs.google.com/pomelli/. Click on “Let’s Get Started.” Enter your website URL. Pomelli scans your site to extract:

  • Colors, fonts, and imagery
  • Taglines and value statements
  • Tone, aesthetic, and product cues

The site that I chose is KIND snacks

Privacy caveat: You are letting Google analyze your site. Decide accordingly.

STEP 2: Edit your business identity

Curate your “Business DNA” summary:

  • URL, product visuals, brand values, tone, and aesthetic
  • All fields are editable. Adjust colors, add or remove values, fix copy.

Now use this DNA to prompt the campaign generator.

STEP 3: Create your marketing campaign based on your Business DNA

Now you can create custom marketing campaigns based on the DNA generated by Pomelli.

Here’s the example I used:

  • Create a scary but kind Halloween campaign.

Click “Generate ideas.”

  • Review three variations. Examples I saw:
    • “Give them something good” (active kindness)
    • “What’s really scary?” (clear ingredients)
    • “Treat yourself, no tricks” (reframing trick-or-treat)

If you don't know what to ask, then look at the suggested campaigns offered by Pomelli.

STEP 4: Edit your campaign and creatives

In the creative editor:

  • Change headline, body, fonts, and colors
  • Resize for placements
  • Use “Fix layout” to auto-reflow elements

You can also add a call-to-action in your image.

Lastly, you can download all creatives and share on socials.

Pro Tip: Pomelli represents high leverage for small teams and agencies. Low setup, fast output, keeps you on-brand. Be sure to test the conversion rate of Pomelli-generated creatives vs. your previous creatives.
