Create a customer support AI agent for your website

The Rundown: ElevenLabs’ new Conversational AI Agents lets you incorporate an AI voice agent that can interact naturally with your visitors.

STEP 1: Setting Up Your Account

Visit ElevenLabs and create a free account to access their Conversational AI Agents feature.

Once logged in, navigate to the "Agents" section under the Conversational category in the left sidebar. Click the "+" button to start creating your first AI agent.

STEP 2: Configure Your AI Agent

Select "Blank template" for full customization, or choose "Support agent" for a pre-configured setup. Give your agent a name that reflects its purpose (e.g., "Website Support Assistant").

In the Agent tab, configure the language to your preferred communication language and set the initial greeting message that visitors will see first.

STEP 3: Personalize the Voice and Behavior

Navigate to the Voice tab to select or create a voice for your agent. You can choose from pre-made voices or clone your own voice for a personal touch.

Then, customize your agent's personality through the system prompt, making it match your brand's tone and style.

STEP 4: Implementation and Design

In the Widget tab, you'll find everything needed for website integration:

  • Copy the provided embed code for your website
  • Select between Compact, Full, or Expand variants
  • Customize colors to match your brand identity
  • Configure button placement and styling
  • Test the widget's responsiveness

Pro tip: Test your agent thoroughly before deploying by using the "Test AI agent" button. This helps making sure responses align with your expectations and brand voice.
